Singing in the Pool

Oh how I love Livy & her singing that you cannot quite understand yet. Her favorites are "Twinkle, twinkle little star", "Row your boat" & "Wheels on the bus." I never knew how much joy I would gain out of hearing a little tiny voice trying to express herself in song! What a blessing! You'll see by the video below.
We have just been taking it easy for awhile- I am 36 weeks & ready to deliver. I will know next week what day I'll be induced. It cannot come too soon. I have hit the point where I can't sleep or even bend over well. We are so excited for baby Kayla to come!
Livy has been playing outside in her pool a lot. She loves it! She also loves anything that crawls & flies. And our butterfly bushes are definitely living up to their name- there have been tons flying around everyday. Livy wants to catch one sooo bad but they always seem to be out of her reach. Poor baby- maybe one day...

Livy's Playdate

Livy loves to play with other kids. Like I have mentioned in other posts, she frequently asks to see "kids." So the other day, we invited her good friend Sherilan over for a visit. They played so hard! They played with her kitchen set, they went to the park, they strolled their babies around the block, but the cutest thing I captured was the two of them dancing together in the kitchen. What a blessing it is to have good friends! It reminds me of Proverbs 17:17- "A friend loves at all times." I pray that our children would be good examples of this scripture.

What a week......

Wayne & I in Atlantic Beach, NC

The Birthday Girl

Opening presents

Crying while we all sang to her

I'm ok now.....its cake time!
Feeding the turtles

We had such an amazing week. It all started with a visit from Nana & Popi. They came to give Wayne & I a chance to go away & then to celebrate Livy's 2nd Birthday. Wayne & I were blessed with a timeshare in Atlantic Beach, NC. We were there for 3 days. The weather was amazing & we got to relax. It was very strange not having any responsibilities!! By day 3, though, we were definitely ready to see our Liv Bug.

When we got home, it was time to plan for Livy's party. We just had family this year. Man how Livy has changed in just a year- she was so into partying, except for the singing. She cried when we sang Happy Birthday. But as soon as she could dig into the cake, she was fine! What a great day!

Before Nana & Popi left, we decided to take our last nightly walk to feed the turtles. We have a lake near our house & it is FULL of turtles. Livy gets so excited & knows when we are near to their place of feeding. She could spend an hour there talking to the turtles & feeding them. She LOVES nature! Below is a cute video of Popi feeding a turtle...

A trip to the zoo

We had so much fun yesterday at the zoo. Our great friend Ted from college came along with us & took some awesome pictures. Livy is the perfect age for the zoo. She knows almost every animal by name & so enjoyed petting the goat & sheep. The sheep loved to sniff her through the fence! :) Her favorite thing to do was play in the fountain of course. What a fun family day!

A litlle of this, A little of that

Well, I am 31 weeks today- cannot believe it! I am HUGE! Definitely bigger than I was with Olivia. I went to the doctor's last week & everything is moving along wonderfully. I may have to be induced the last week of July due to my sugar levels being high but just praying for God's will.

Livy will be turning 2 in 2 weeks- again I cannot believe it! Her newest accomplishment is counting to 20- yes folks, I said 20. She needs reminding along the way but she can basically do it all by herself. Which reminds me, her new thing to say is "self." The girl loves to do everything herself. She is soooo independent & fearless. Don't know where she gets it?!

My parents are coming for a week right around Livy's birthday- we are so excited because they are letting Wayne & I go away for 3 days on a "babymoon" (before baby #2 arrives). We got this amazing deal at a resort at Atlantic Beach, NC. What a blessing!

And now for baby #2's name.....We have decided on Kayla Jo. Wayne chose Kayla & I love it. Kayla is Hebrew meaning Who is like God?; pure. Jo is after Wayne's mother. We cannot wait to meet Kayla- just 2 more months! Woooohooooo!

And I think that's it for now. I will post some pics of last month soon. Love to you all!

Cousins!!

Aren't cousins great?! This is Livy with her 5 month old cousin Ethan. She has been wanting to hold him forever so we thought it was finally time to give it a try. We are also getting prepared for when she has a new sister. Ethan was such a good sport & seemed to enjoy it for awhile too! She loves to give him kisses & we let her as much a s she wants because soon I don't think he's going to want all that loving! :)

My first blog

Hi everyone! Here is my attempt at blogging....I figured I needed to get on board & learn this before baby #2 arrives in August so I guess this gives me 3 months. I do think I'm getting old since this whole blogging experience has been challenging or maybe it's just the pregnancy brain.

Livy is such a big girl now. Her favorite thing to do is play outside. She is afraid of nothing. In the mornings when I get her out of bed, after saying "hi" she usually says "outside" followed by "boys." Wayne is a bit upset that she thinks she's going to get to play with "boys" every time. We have no idea where she picked that up.
